As the nominations comes to hand, I shall email updates to you so as to inform you of the participating Clubs in your District. Also, as in previous years’, I shall email result updates in order for you to collate information for the draws. For those Districts who have another primary contact for me to email the info to, I shall also include you as a matter of courtesy. With regards to the collection of entry fee payments from NSW Clubs, until our new TMS (Tournament Management System) has our new system up and running, on receipt of results, I will email the Club contact with the Golf NSW account details and will ask Peter Jackson – Finance Manager to issue a Tax Invoice for the monies to be paid. Finally, as soon as the next Match Committee has been held (tba), Graeme Phillipson – General Manager of Golf will issue an update relating to the information-gathering process for players going into the draw for the Mazda car. Any correspondence received by me from you regarding your concerns relating to these events, will also be forwarded for discussion at this meeting. Please do not hesitate to give me a call should you have any further enquiries. Cheers, Julia     To: District Golf Association Secretaries Re: Organisation of District Finals - Fourball Championships The Match Committee are aware that there is concern from some Districts that the changes in the Conditions will result in a smaller than usual field for the District Final.  This was considered by the Match Committee when the Conditions were established.  The Match Committee were also fully supportive of Districts that wished to turn the District Final day into a bigger than normal event.  Qualification to Bonville for the State Final will remain as per the Conditions, however, there is nothing to stop the District from running their own event on the same day in conjunction with other players either invited from other Clubs or paying an entry fee to participate.   For example, a District may hold their own fourball event in conjunction, which is open to anyone they choose.  This can be held on the same day, and played in conjunction with an event for those who are playing for the opportunity to proceed to the State Final of the Fourball Championship at Bonville.   There has been some comment around the introduction of the $5 entry fee.  On this front we will shortly be sending out advertising for the draw that all participants can enter, for their chance to win a Mazda 3.  Those who enter at Club level will be able to go online and provide their details to enter.    We will review the Conditions again at the end of this year.     Regards   Graeme       Ron Adams President/Secretary GolfIllawarra
