Ladies Golf

Kiama Ladies' main competition day is Wednesday with hit off times ranging from 8.15 am to 11 am. Times are also available for Ladies to play on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and time sheets for all events are available on the website two weeks prior. With the exception of several 'closed' events, visitors are always most welcome. Ladies also conduct an informal 12 hole social game most Friday mornings to assist new players and provide lady members with an opportunity to practice. Hit off times are displayed on the noticeboard in the Ladies' Room. It is not necessary to book in for Friday games.

Congratulations to the Ladies Silver Pennant team on winning this years title. In a closely fought final they defeated Callala RSL Country Club by 3 matches to 2 at Nowra Golf Club. That makes it FOUR pennants for 2015 after the men claimed three. With the team being promoted to Gold there is sure to be some fierce competition next year between the two Kiama teams.

Pink Texas Fourball - McGrath Day 2016

Kiama Golf Club together with Kiama Lady Veterans promoted a Pink Texas Fourball on July 9 in aid of The McGrath Foundation. Members and visitors supported the day with 193 players part. They also generously supported the raffle held for the event as well as the sausage sizzle/cup cake stall run by Elle Sandack with her junior helpers.

Generous sponsors donated prizes for the raffle including V&C Foods, Kiama Lady Veteran Golfers and Kiama Golf Club.

Kiama Men Veteran golfers generously supported the day with a cheque for a $200 donation. The McGrath Foundation also gained 50% of the superpin competition plus an $80 donation from two of our winners.

Many teams dressed in pink vying for the best-dressed pink team. This was won by the Burgess team from Sydney.

Great assistance was given by many of the club employees to help make this day a success and we thank the following for their generous support:

  • Mark and his team for the pink logos, cups and flags
  • Pro shop staff for helping get this large field through
  • Admin staff for the liaison with the McGrath Foundation and sponsors
  • Bar and restaurant staff for extra support on Friday night and Saturday

Thank you also to the following ladies for assistance with the raffle, BBQ and for making delicious pink cup cakes!  Elle Sandack, Maureen Connor, Robyn Dorney, Judy Willot, Pam Hodkinson, Pauline Mair and Suzie Barenyi.

The amount raised for the McGrath Foundation was $3,400 -  a great result!

Thank you to all the members and visitors who supported the golf day and to the many social members who supported the raffle.

Congratulations to the winners on the day Rita Roberts, Graham Christian, Gregg Rowland and Al Pomering who won with a score of 112. They were closely followed by Sharon and Michael Casson and Kerrie and Anthony Savage with a score of 111.
